What is it with Soccer?

Well, the World Cup is over and did I miss something? Maybe the most talked about incident other than the Italians winning the cup was the head butting the French player gave the Italian. Now, you can see how thrilled I am with the sport that I can't even attempt to put the names of the players here. I just don't care.

Now, don’t come at me with “The US team sucked and got kicked out and” blah, blah, blah. No, that’s not it. I attempted to watch it but watching guys running up and down just doesn’t do it for me.

I guess what pisses me off about the sport is the acting when one player is touched. Player A makes a “tackle” on player B and that one rolls around like a gang beat the hell out of him. Once the ref whips out his cute yellow or red card the player gets up and runs away.

Back to the cup, the French guy head butts the Italian and gets thrown out. Best player on the French team. Why? Because the Italian was mocking him and his family. GIVE ME A BREAK. (I guess the Italians picked that up from them).

He’s thrown out, no score through regulation or the 2 overtime periods and the Italians win on penalty kicks. Penalty kicks in a championship???

I went on with this way to long. I think this French player can express my feeling for soccer better.
